A Dream Wedding of Mine

"Dear future husband, here's a few things you'll need to know if you wanna be my one and only all my life."

This song from Meghan Trainor caught my attention. It's kinda perfect song for those girls who are still seeking for their own Mr. Right, like me.

For me, it's very ironic though since I don't have a boyfriend, but like every girl, at least I have a dream wedding; since here in the Philippines, there are a lot of celebrities who were recently married. Of course, I want to experience being a bride, either the ceremony is simple or elegant. So I want to share some things in my dream wedding that must come true.

The Wedding Dress
This was featured in Preview Magazine August 2009 issue, designed by Mel Orlina. The bottom part of this dress caught my attention. I would like that to be exactly the same design that I will use as my wedding dress, but I want the top to be different. Since showing off the legs is sexy, I want the top part to be at least conservative.

The Wedding Designer
He is Francis Libiran, one of the fashion designers to the stars. I love his creations so I would like him to design my wedding dress. He may suggest the design what's best for me, but he may consider what my dream wedding dress would be liked.

 The Color Motif
I have two favorite colors. Since I was a kid, I like pink so much. On the other hand, I chose yellow as my second favorite color because I graduated at University of Santo Tomas, under College of Commerce and Business Administration, which the toga is yellow. So it's either of these two.

The Solemn Wedding Ceremony
St. John Paul II Parish located at Eastwood is my first choice. It's simple yet looks elegant since the seating capacity is enough for the bride and groom's family, relatives, and friends.

The Wedding Reception
This is Fernwood Gardens located in Quezon City. I want a reception to be a royalty themed, feeling like a princess since they have carriages. Plus I want the reception to be held at night.

The Photographer/Videographer
Nice Print Photography is one of the most famous when it comes to weddings. I know it's very expensive, but the quality of shots (both edited and unedited) for wedding album and for video presentation to be shown during reception. But since I worked at a photography business before, I have friends who are photographers, so I will quite recommend them more.

The Wedding Song List
Since there's a lot of great love songs, it's hard for me to chose so I picked my top 7 songs to be played in my wedding. I still don't have any idea who will be the wedding singer/s but he must be able to sing these songs during the ceremony proper and the reception. The song of 2AM's Changmin entitled Moment which was used in Korean drama The Heirs will be perfect song whenever I walk down the aisle. To be understand by the relatives and guests, this must be sung in English.

Wedding traditions must be done properly, of course, like not seeing the groom while wearing the dress. Since there's a variety of food to be chosen, but at least some of the dishes that will be served would be my Asian favorites. I don't have any idea what the design will be like for invitations; I'm very critical with the details. But my top priority is for a wedding planner to help me in this very special event. It must be well-planned and well-prepared.

I'm feeling the pressure since I'm the only one in the family who is not yet married since I still don't have a boyfriend and I'm already 26 years old. The reason because I want the one to be my one and only boyfriend to be my husband forever. Yeah I know I'm still young but I know my Mr. Right is just around the corner. Whoever that person is, he is very lucky because for sure he'll be my first and last boyfriend.
